FAQ

Q: What is a zine?
A: A “zine” is a fan-produced magazine, typically created in small, limited-run batches. They are found in a variety of forms including digital PDFs and physical booklets. They may be accompanied by fan-made merchandise. Zines are not official merchandise and have no affiliation with the creators of the source material the zine is based on.

Q: What is found family?
A: Found family can be defined by people who form a deep emotional connection with each other, often times familial in nature. We also encourage contributors to explore this concept beyond the typical nuclear family model since some relationships can't be boxed under the usual familial terms.
Q: Where will the funds go?
A: This will be determined through the mod team and the interest check.
Q: Will this zine have a physical copy?
A: Yes, we aim to create a zine that has a physical version with physical merch.
Q: Will contributors receive a free copy of this zine?
A: Yes, contributors will get a free PDF of the zine, and any digital merch if ever. We aim to give all contributors a copy of the physical zine which will be dependent on the number of sales.
Q: Is the use of AI allowed in any way?
A: No, any kind of use of AI in the zine will not be allowed. This includes using AI to conceptualize, sketch, paint over, and use it to make finished pieces. Writers cannot use AI to outline or polish their works in any way. We also caution writers not to use Grammarly since it now uses generative AI.
Any contributor who is found using AI outside the zine will be removed to keep the integrity of the zine intact.Q: Will people who support problematic relationships be allowed in this zine?
A: For the safety and comfort of everyone involved with the zine, we will not be allowing anyone who condones and romanticizes problematic content—fictional or not—in the zine. This includes topics like pedophilia, incest, rape, and sexual assault.
We understand that the source material does include and may allude to the the topics mentioned above which is why we may allow the presence of those topics, subject to the mods' approval. However, they will be depicted in a PG-13 way and will not be graphic or explicit.
